Everglades Seafood Festival
It’s that time of year again! The Everglades Seafood Festival arrives right before Valentine’s Day, and it is a popular tour-de-force of food, rides, crafts, and games. The Everglades Seafood Festival is a free event, packing upwards of 50,000 people into downtown Everglades City, a short drive from Lely Resort.
Everglades City is touted as the stone crab capital, and it is a deserving title. Guests come for local and seasonal stone crab, as well as shrimp, triggerfish, sheepshead, and more. It is inarguably the finest place and time to experience the best seafood near Lely Resort.
Outside the seafood, you can expect to find carnival rides for kids, live music (mostly country and rock), and vendors selling jewelry, clay pots, bath products, and wall art.
The event is February 7th to February 9th. While there is free parking on-site, it is limited. Fortunately, many of the local businesses will keep their lots opened for the event. You can park at many of them for a modest donation.

Taste of SW Florida at Chubb Classic
So what is the Chubb Classic?
We wondered the exact same thing until we experience the fun and excitement of this inspiring PGA TOUR Champions golf event. The Chubb Classic is one of the area’s premiere golfing tournaments and the longest continuous PGA Tour Champions event held in a metro area. The classic features a range of golfers tied to the local community through charitable organizations and more.
So what is the Taste of SW Florida? The minds behind the Chubb Classic have helped evolve this grand three-day food and drink festival. Running part of the time of the whole Chubb Classic, the Taste of SW Florida event features hand selected dishes from a number of top Naples restaurants. Guests can mingle, mix, and relax during the three days over some of the region’s best in seafood and general gourmet dining. Wine and spirits will also be available.
The event is Friday, February through Sunday, February 16th. Tickets are $35 per person and they get you access to the Chubb Classic (on determined days). You can call Chubb organizers for additional details and specific event times.
Naples National Art Show
If you thought the Everglades Seafood Festival or the Taste of SW Florida lacked art, you will be pleased to learn about the Naples National Art Show. This massive art festival was ranked as one of the best art shows in the country by Americas Best Art Fairs and Sunshine Artist Magazine.
Both have touted the amazing talent and range of artistic mediums on display. In all, you can see nearly 200 artists in a wide range of areas, including printmaking, photography, wood sculpting, furniture design, wall art, traditional painting, digital art, and more. There’s also a kids zone play area during the day and evening music at the Cambier Park Band Shell.
The event is February 22nd and February 23rd from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. It is held at Cambier Park, at 755 8th Ave S.
