Christmas at Lely Resort
Spend your Christmas tucked away at Lely Resort. Keep it close to the resort for some exciting local fun. You can even bring your pup along for the holiday vacation and stay at one of our Lely Resort pet-friendly rentals.
If you want to stay in the neighborhood, we don’t blame you! Come visit Sam Snead’s Tavern for the gorgeous atmosphere and high-quality menu of oak-grilled delights. The tavern has unique golf memorabilia if you love the sport, but it also glows beautifully with lights and warm décor for the season.
You can always roam through the resort neighborhood to see all the homes coated thickly in street statues, figures, and lights. It becomes a little seasonal contest of sorts, attracting visitors from all over to see the homes adorned in decorations.
Naples
Naples has plenty of places to enjoy the cool weather and the holiday spirit. Come to the city early in the winter season for Christmas Tree Wonderland benefiting the Sunshine Kids Foundation. The event is Nov 14th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and includes the Christmas tree display and light-up at Robb and Stucky at 355 9th Street South. The event will feature a visit by Santa Claus, as well as wine and snacks.
If full-stop shopping is more your speed, we recommend the Holiday Shopping Extravaganza Dec 9th from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The event is at the Bevy shopping plaza at 360 12th Avenue South. The event will feature lots of eating, sipping, and socializing. Aside from deep deals on an assortment of items, like clothing, the event will include networking opportunities, cocktails in the shopping courtyard, and freebies. Swag bags and other goodies will be given away to excited shoppers.
The Bevy buzzes with excitement early in December. Come to Naples and see what makes this shopping experience one of the best for the season in southwest Florida.
Finally, we have to recommend the most filling event in the city during the holiday season. This is the Christmas Day Buffet in the Ballroom at the Naples Grande Beach Resort. If you are traveling on Christmas Day, this is an astounding event for everyone. The resort glows with stellar decorations and accommodations including a seafood bar, an antipasto bar, soups, a beverage station, entertainment, and desserts.
The resort is located at 475 Seagate Drive. The Christmas Day Buffet formally begins at noon and ends at 7 p.m. on Christmas Day, Dec 25th.
Marco Island
Marco Island makes for a magnificent day trip from Lely Resort. There’s an assortment of fun events, from romantic boat cruises to family events. Highlights include the Marco Island Christmas Boat Parade. Watch as boats covered in enchanting Christmas lights glide cozily along the water early in December. Details are still pending.
The de-facto Christmas event for the island is the Marco Island Tree Lighting. This occurs December 7th at Veterans’ Community Park. Take a stop by the Naples Botanical Garden for their annual Night Lights. The gardens erupt in holiday lights and color. The event includes cocoa, light snacks, and musical entertainment.
