Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park

The expansive Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park is an integral attraction of Naples. The park covers 166 acres, where you’ll find stunning beaches, clear water, and high-quality equipment available for rent. You can experience the Florida sunshine while getting up close and personal with the wildlife.

Delnor-Wiggins is a favorite spot for many to collect seashells and take full advantage of the breathtaking water views. If you want to explore, you can go on a nature tour to learn about the native Floridian plants and animals in the area. This option is especially great to see turtles (in May through October) and birds. The park is open daily, and parking costs between $4 and $6.

Naples Pier

A staple for locals and visitors alike is Naples Pier, the ideal spot for strolling, fishing, and relaxing. The pier stretches 1,000 feet into the water and is the perfect place to people-watch or try to snag the best fish.

If you’re visiting in July, the pier is the essential viewing spot for Independence Day fireworks. For the rest of the year, the views at sunset are just as spectacular. The beach and pier have no fee, and you’ll find cleaning stations and a concession stand. Naples Pier is a great spot for collecting seashells with your sweetheart or trying to spot a dolphin or two.

The Baker Museum

If the weather isn’t on your side, check out The Baker Museum, home to 15 galleries containing some of Florida’s most beautiful artwork. You’ll know you’re in the right place when you see the momentous 14-foot entrance gates and the huge head statue out front!

The museum is home to several permanent collections, one of which showcases the glass work of Dale Chihuly. There are also rotating exhibits and special events for you to discover. The Baker Museum is open every day except Mondays, and adult admission is $10.

Marco Mystery and History Tours

Marco Island is one of the most historically rich places in Florida, and this creepy tour will show you the dark side. From October through March, you can experience a two-hour tour taking you through some of the most interesting parts of the island with Martha Hatta as your personal guide.

Arrive at Olde Marco Inn at 6 p.m. to have a pre-tour drink with your guide, or opt to enjoy your drink afterward. Once you’re on the tour, you’ll wander through a cemetery, an Indian burial ground, and a haunted inn as you learn about the spooky history of Marco Island. These tours may be a bit scary for kids under 13, but you can call and schedule a private tour if you have children in your group.
